A lot of perks come with living in Harmony’s newest addition, The Lakes, our 55+ community, but we’d have to say one of our favorites is the leisure amenities. Residents of The Lakes have access to other Harmony amenities like Harmony’s Golf Preserve, Town Square, two pristine lakes, and 12.5 miles of walking trails. On top of that, though, are the specific amenities just for The Lakes residents.

What makes Harmony such a great place to live? There are many reasons, but a few of our favorites have to be Buck Lake and Cat Lake. Everyone who walks out on the docks at Buck Lake falls in love with the beauty and tranquility of this 511-acre natural wonder. Buck Lake and Cat Lake are pristine and protected, with shorelines rimmed with trees.
In the northeast corner of Harmony, at the end of Five Oaks Drive, you’ll find a rustic wooden gate and a footpath leading to Cat Lake. Follow it and within five minutes you’ll discover one of Harmony’s most pristine natural wonders. A majestic copse of live oaks springs up from the shoreline like a welcome sign as you walk up.
The 460-acre freshwater lake and surrounding wetlands are completely natural. No playgrounds, no boardwalks, no restrooms – Mother Nature in all of her glory. Come solo or bring your tribe. Either way, let Cat Lake inspire you to get outdoors and soak in the good vibes.
